Terms of use

Free to use, for anything lawful — with a clear note on what these results are and are not.

Using this site

TrueCalc Pro is free to use for anyone, for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. No account is required and no permission needs to be sought. You may link to any page, share results, and use the numbers the calculators produce in your own work.

No warranty

The calculators are provided "as is". Considerable care goes into the formulas, and an automated test suite checks them against known-good values, but no warranty is given that every result will be accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose. Software has bugs, browsers differ, and inputs can be misread.

For any decision with real consequences — signing a loan, changing your diet, submitting a grade appeal, pricing goods for sale — verify the figure independently before you act on it.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, medical, legal, tax or academic advice, and using it creates no professional relationship of any kind.

  • Loan results are estimates for a fixed-rate, equal-instalment loan. They exclude fees, insurance, taxes and any variation in rate. Only a lender's formal offer is binding.
  • BMI and calorie results are general information derived from population-level equations. They are not a diagnosis, a prescription or a treatment plan. Speak to a doctor or registered dietitian.
  • Grade results depend on your institution's own rules, which often include dropped scores, curves and replacement policies. Your syllabus governs, not this calculator.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of this site are not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or its results. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum permitted.

Availability

The site is offered without any uptime guarantee and may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time without notice. Pages you have already visited generally keep working offline through the service worker cache, but that too may be cleared by your browser at any point.

Intellectual property

The design, written content and source code of this site belong to their authors. Mathematical formulas themselves are not owned by anyone — the Mifflin–St Jeor equation and the standard amortisation formula are public knowledge, and you are free to use them anywhere. You may not copy the site wholesale and present it as your own.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site or the infrastructure serving it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or use it to break the law. Since everything runs client-side, the practical way to use these calculators heavily is simply to save the pages — they work offline.

Governing terms

These terms may be updated; the date at the top reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms. Questions can go to truecalcpro@gmail.com.
